Ceramar is a small female-founded handbag and accessories company born from the wish to bring together the functionality and style of modern life with the artisanal craftsmanship of Colombia

All our bags are limited edition and made in small production runs in NJ. We find our fabrics during our travels and from local sources. When that run of curated materials is completed, we move on to the next one making each piece special. This combination of style and craftsmanship makes each bag unique and perfect for the woman who wants to be effortlessly chic and show her individuality. Ceramar purchases handwoven, colorful artisan bands by the Wayuu Women of Colombia from the Nuevalife Foundation. This group creates solutions that support the education of children in vulnerable situations in Latin America. They are working to ensure that the that these communities have access to water, energy, and the equipment necessary so that they can develop to their greatest potential.

Miryam Cera, designer and founder of Ceramar, was born in Colombia and raised in the US. Having worked for many large fashion companies in NY, she always dreamed of starting a brand that combined her design experience and the energy of Colombia.

Starting in 2021, she began to grow the brand from the ground up. She sells her bags at festivals, fairs, and pop-up markets in the NY / NJ tristate area.  At these events, she can meet her customers in person and share the story of the brand. Custom bags and personalization are also available.
